The existing lake front property is approximately 70’ wide x 100’ deep, located on Clark Lake, Jackson County, Michigan. Currently there is an existing residence located where the proposed residence will be built and an existing garage across the street. The existing house will be demolished in the fall of 2017 and the new house will be built in its place on new foundations. The existing garage across the street will remain.
The new residence (approximately 3,000+/- S.F.) on crawl, will consist of a First Floor, Second Floor and Loft Level. The interior will be barrier free accessible with an elevator located at the front entry on street side. The residence will be wood frame construction with 9 ft. ceiling height on the First Floor and 8ft. ceiling height on the Second Floor.
The First Floor design consists of Master Bedroom with Bath facing the lake side. A centrally located Kitchen with the Dining and Great Room facing the lake. A ½ Bath | Changing Room that can be accessed from the lake side. A Bar | Work Area and Laundry Room located on the street side of the house. An elevator, stairs and storage cubbies will be located near the main entry on the street side of the house. The lake side of the house will utilize folding glass doors.
The proposed Second Floor will consist of a Bedroom with Bath (includes sink, toilet, tub and shower), (2) Bed Rooms with shared Bath (includes sink, toilet, tub and shower), Storage and Laundry Closet.
The proposed Loft Design will be an open plan and shall accommodate (4-6) people sleeping with twin size beds or bunks, couches, fridge, big flat screen T.V.
The Exterior design will have a Country French aesthetic and will be composed of cultured stone, exterior finish insulating system (E.F.I.S), metal roofing, asphalt shingles and painted wood lattice work.
